Guidelines for pool opening, Summer 2020
Our board continues to work with TAE to make every effort to maximize resident usage while safely doing so. To that end please note that the following policies will be in place for all pool usage and may evolve in response to what we experience. Major changes will be communicated by email; current policies and information will be available on our website under Facilties/Pool Info.
Numbers of residents in the pool area will be limited in compliance with state guidelines; increased capacity as of 6/9.
Once capacity is reached, no more residents will be allowed entry. There will be a 2 hour limit if there are individuals waiting.
If voluntary compliance with the set capacity and 2 hour limit is not manageable the facility will have to be closed. Please consider kindness and the best for our community by complying with any and all lifeguard requests so that our facilities can remain open and usable to as many as possible.
During the safety break at the top of the hour adults will now be allowed to stay in the pool; as of 6/9.
Chlorine levels will be maintained at CDC recommended levels. If they drop due to rain or pool usage the facility will close until chlorine is returned to safe levels.
Hours will be as normal (10-9 all open days except Sundays 12-8); as of 6/9
Temperatures will be taken during check-in. Anyone with a temperature over 100 will not be allowed in the pool area. If the first reading is over 100, the resident will be asked to rest in the shade for a minute prior to retesting. If after the second test the temperature remains over 100 the group with that individual will be required to exit and return only after the temperature returns to normal.
July 3rd Update: State Executive Order for Wearing Masks
The current State order for face coverings requires wearing a mask or face covering “wherever it is not feasible to maintain six feet of social distancing from another person not in the same household” and excepts “any person while the person is in a swimming pool”. Therefore, when entering the pool area, faces must be covered during the check in process which will include signing in and a temperature check. Once in the pool area, families sitting with only their household members or those in the water will not be required to wear a mask. However if there are individuals from separate homes sitting in proximity, at tables or in lounge chairs, masks will be required. Please note: pool staff will wear masks when walking on deck and checking in residents, however as long as they are at the table alone or 6ft from other staff they may be without their masks. When entering, please give them a moment to put on their masks before approaching the table for check in.
